I have involved in some engineering projects and DIY projects to fufil my passion in creating something cool and creative.

CNC router project

I have been working on a low budget CNC router project since Oct 2010. I researched, designed, and manufactured the CNC router project. Aiming to be functional and yet affordable has been a challenge for this CNC router project. This project is currently in building process and estimated to be done by the end of Febuary 2015.

Sustainable Chair 

Project

The sustainable chair project focused on building a chair withou using any fasterners and glue. The chair is made with foam core and has to be under 500g yet to be able to support a 80kg person. Calculation and stress analysis has been done in this project.

Sketch Model Challenge

The Sketch Model Challenge consists of building a device, made completely out of paper products, with the final product being put through the test of acting as a dodgeball war machine. In the game, one player is the rider and another player acts to move the device and rider.

Bio-inspired robot

This design project was to build a bio-inspired robot which was able to walk straight under slippery condition. Inspiration from nature had to be used as the basic idea for the robot. The robot was built with MDF board and was propelled by Hitec-425BB servo motors.

Trebuchet

This design project is to build a trebuchet which will be able to launch a water-filled ping pong ball for 12 meters. A 2kg wooden box was used as a counterweight in this project.
